Pollinator Gardens

Thank you all for a wonderful 2025 Garden Season!!!

We are looking forward to another successful season at the Pollinator Garden!

How it started!!!!
In August of 2021, we were graciously awarded the Healing the Planet Grant in the amount of $2,500 from Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful and the GIANT Company. We are excited to begin building safe havens and gardens to assist bees and butterflies in our area. The gardens have been placed on our property next to the Back Mountain Food Pantry Gardens. 

With the help of our community, we believe this project will have long-lasting positive effects on our immediate area.

We need to take a moment to thank the WONDERFUL, Janet McCarroll, for almost single handedly keeping our garden alive and THRIVING the entire 2022 season. She visited the garden multiple times a week and did an amazing job keeping it fed, watered and weeded. It was not an easy job! If you see Janet around, please thank her!
