Food Pantry Gardens
In 2015, the Board of Supervisors, approved a food pantry vegetable garden to be operated on their property. The Supervisors also secured a grant to improve the property at that time. The grant was used to build a road and fencing so FooPanGa Food Pantry Garden had the resources necessary to create a healthy community garden free from wildlife visitors. The Grant also provided funds for additional supplies needed by the garden including fruit trees.

Each year, the FooPanGa Food Pantry Garden produces hundreds of pounds of fresh vegetables which are given to clients of the 3 local food pantries.

In 2018, they were able to donate 1,800 lb of fresh produce to the Back Mountain Food Pantry, Pastor’s Food Pantry and Back Mountain Harvest Pantry.
